Stage 4 Cancer Survivor
Founder of The Healing Room
Helping you make sense of cancer,
understand what supports your body
and how to take an
active role in
your healing.

I understand because I have lived it.
In 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Cancer had spread throughout my body, including my brain, and I was told I had six months or less to live.
I was petrified. Heartbroken. Needless to say, I hit rock bottom.
But after several days, I made a decision:
I was going to try to heal anyway.
My medical treatment options were limited, so alongside treatment, I searched for people who had healed against the odds.
I wanted to understand why my body had become vulnerable and what genuinely supported the body in healing.
In 2021, I received the news I had been waiting for:
No evidence of disease.
I had achieved a radical remission and have remained cancer-free ever since.
I have spent the years since understanding what supported my healing and why.
Today, I use everything I have lived and learned to help others become active participants in supporting theirs.

Your body is not your enemy.
After a cancer diagnosis, it can feel as though your body has betrayed you or become something you have to fight.
But that is rarely the whole truth.
Our bodies are wired for survival.
They are constantly responding and adapting to the lives we are living.
Many of us have spent years holding everything together, carrying too much responsibility, pushing through exhaustion, putting everyone else first or feeling alone and unsupported in it all.
We think, “That’s just life.”
We are rarely taught that our bodies are living through it with us.
Then comes a cancer diagnosis, bringing fear, heartbreak, uncertainty and an entirely new load for the body to carry.
Blame has no place here.
We are looking at the whole of you, what your body has been living through and what could help create a more supportive environment for healing now.
Healing the Whole Person
Supporting healing is about far more than following a diet, taking supplements or finding the perfect protocol.
There is a whole human being living through cancer.
Whatever you choose to do, your body has to carry you through it.
That is why my work looks beyond the diagnosis and considers the whole of you.
Why Me?
After a cancer diagnosis, many of us are left asking why.
I help you explore what your body may have been living through before cancer and what may have left it more vulnerable.
Not to find blame, but to create understanding and recognise what may need to change or be better
supported now.
Fear and Nervous System Support
Cancer can leave the whole body feeling as though it must stay on high alert.
I help you understand why fear can feel so powerful and how to support your nervous system without forcing calm or pretending to be positive.
So fear can begin to soften and you can feel steadier in yourself again.
Creating a More Supportive Life
Supporting your body is not only about what you add.
It can also mean looking at what you are still carrying.
Constant pressure, too much responsibility, difficult relationships, feeling alone or always putting yourself last can continue to ask too much of you.
Together, we explore what could change and where more rest, connection, support, freedom and joy can begin to return.
Supporting the Physical Body
Food, sleep, movement, rest, supplements and healing practices can all have a place.
I help you understand how and why different approaches may support the body, so you can make informed choices without chasing every protocol or trying to do everything perfectly.

When facing a diagnosis, Shellie equips audiences to understand why cancer develops, reframe fear as information, and transform helplessness into clarity and healing possibility.
Shellie is a radical remission survivor and Qualified Root Cause Practitioner who delivers a powerful keynote and successfully takes people from:
1. Feeling terrified and powerless, to feeling informed and in control
2. Accepting a prognosis as final, to knowing that change is possible
3. Overwhelmed by information, to having a clear path forward
Some people hear a diagnosis and find a way through. Others are consumed by fear.
Some take back control. Others feel powerless.
Some create the conditions for healing. Others stay stuck.
The difference between those who find a way and those who don't can be the environment they create inside themselves.
Looking for someone who truly understands what you're going through?
